Safe Paws Rescue is an initiative run by Caminhos da Esperança e Transformação LTDA, a for-profit Brazilian company. When you contribute on this website — once or monthly — your payment enters a pooled rescue fund. The fund is used through independent partner rescuers in Brazil for eligible cat-care expenses, such as pickup and transport, veterinary intake, tests, medicine, surgery, food, temporary shelter and recovery.
Your payment is not reserved for one named animal, unless we confirm a separate restriction to you in writing. Support is directed across eligible cases according to documented need, at our discretion. Images and examples on the website illustrate the kind of care the fund supports. We are an independent company: we are not affiliated with, and do not represent, any specific shelter, charity or institution.
Safe Paws Rescue is not a registered charity. Payments are not tax-deductible, and your payment confirmation is a payment receipt, not a charitable tax receipt.
Part of each payment covers payment processing fees, currency conversion, operating costs, advertising and our team's compensation. We do not promise that 100% of your payment is spent on case expenses, and we do not guarantee any outcome for a given case or any number of rescues.
By using this website and making a payment, you agree to these terms. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that the payment method used is yours or that you are authorized to use it.
Payments are charged securely through our payment processor (Stripe), in US dollars or, for visitors in the euro area, in euros, based on your country.
Monthly support is a recurring charge: by choosing it, you authorize us to charge the amount you selected every month, starting on the date of your first payment, until you cancel. One-time support is charged once, with no recurring charge.
We may update, suspend or discontinue any part of the website or the support options at any time. We make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate, but do not guarantee that the website is free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the transaction in question.
We collect the minimum data needed to process your payment and manage your support: payment information (handled directly by Stripe — we do not store card numbers), the name and email address you enter at checkout (to send your payment confirmation and the secure link to manage your monthly support), your approximate country (from your IP, to show the right currency), and basic analytics about how the website is used.
Payment data is processed by Stripe under their own privacy terms. We may use analytics and advertising tools (such as Google Tag Manager) to measure and improve our campaigns. We do not sell your personal data. You may request access to or deletion of your data by emailing us at contact@wesafepaws.com, subject to legal retention obligations (for example, tax and transaction records).
Cancelling monthly support: you can cancel at any time, using the secure link in your confirmation email or by requesting a new link on the Manage monthly support page. Cancellation takes effect immediately: no further monthly charges are made after it.
Refunds: you may request a full refund of any payment — one-time or a monthly charge — within 7 days of that payment by emailing contact@wesafepaws.com with your payment details. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. After 7 days, because the funds may already have been used for case expenses, refunds are handled case by case at our discretion.
Chargebacks: if you don't recognize a charge, please contact us first — we can usually resolve issues faster than a bank dispute. One-time payments appear on your card statement as WESAFEPAWS.COM. Monthly charges may appear as WEHOPEPAWS.ORG, the descriptor of our payment account.
